Internal Auditing - ISO 9001:2015
Gap Analysis
Management Reviews
Being an ISO 9001-registered company offers numerous benefits, but implementing and maintaining the ISO 9001 quality management system is no small task.
One area I find businesses get "stuck" on is Internal Auditing. Internal auditing of your entire Quality Management system must be a continual process completed in it's entirety within the year.
I encourage my clients to break their Quality Management System into manageable chunks, that can be scheduled for audit throughout the year. Businesses may introduce a new product, service or process that could require monitoring in the implementation phase, again Internal Auditing is a great way to ensure new elements are smoothly transitioned.
Occasionally, clients find a gap in their systems that needs a fresh pair of eyes and some outside support to navigate.
How can we help? Our internal auditing program provides unbiased internal auditing services which are perfect for those who don't have personnel that could be appointed as internal auditor given that auditors are not allowed to audit their own work or area of responsibility.
How are we different? We not only provide an internal audit report, but we support our clients with training and development materials that explain what we are auditing and how it relates to the standard requirements.
Virtual or Onsite Audits? The majority of our clients prefer a virtual internal audit of documentation and processes followed by a zoom meeting or phone call where we can discuss and ask questions, look for improvements and plan any actions that are required. For some, onsite internal auditing is required. On occasion an onsite discussion and practical work through of processes and systems can be very effective.
We have clients who contact us on an as required basis and some clients who opt for a scheduled quarterly service where we step in to update, audit, discuss and find solutions/navigate risk and provide actions and solutions for the months ahead. The main point is that we are adaptable to the clients requirements.
We can provide guidance to what may work for your business and this may evolve and change throughout our engagement with you. We not only provide an internal audit report, but support our clients with training and development materials that explain what we are auditing and how it relates to the standard requirements.
For example, if we audit Section 9.0 Improvement, you will know why we are auditing it, how we will audit it, how it relates to your business and suggestions for improvements with practical solutions.
